Two monuments, one state and one federal, mark the site of where more than 3,000 prisoners who died at Point Lookout. were originally buried. Many of those graves were relocated but the names of those who died at Point Lookout are engraved on the federal monument. The cemetery is located outside of Point Lookout State Park and is open from dawn to dusk.
