Submissions for Southern Maryland Film Festival
After being closed down for 5 years, the Southern Maryland Film Festival is back to showcase the films and filmmakers from the Southern Maryland region!
The Southern Maryland Film Festival is accepting submissions until June 21, 2025.
The Southern Maryland Film Festival accepts submissions in all genres and ages with a focus on films created in Southern Maryland or by Southern Maryland Filmmakers. Here, Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary's Counties are referred to as Southern Maryland. Submissions of locally produced films are being accepted by the Southern Maryland Film Festival (SoMDFF) Steering Committee through June 21, 2025.
The event will be held at the R/C Theatres’ Lexington Exchange 12 in California, MD, in August of 2025. Submission details can be found at https://filmfreeway.com/Southe.... There is a $10 submission fee per film; filmmakers under the age of 18 may submit for free. Questions for the committee can be sent via email to SMDfilmfest@gmail.com.
