Celebrate Leonardtown’s most mysterious madame while trying some potent potables!
Restaurants and bars in Leonardtown have concocted original cocktails to celebrate the Legend of Moll Dyer, Leonardtown, the metaphysical, or Moll Dyer’s theme “Be Kind”. You are the judge this year! Judging is based on the following categories: Best overall drink, taste, and creativity.

The Healer's Garden

The Healer's Garden is made with vodka, lime juice, grape juice, elderflower and club soda. This name takes the elderflower and grape combination and frames it in a more positive light, celebrating the healing properties that Moll Dyer was said to have used to help her community before the accusations. It honors the tradition of herbalists and healers who used their knowledge to benefit others.

A nod to Moll Dyer's efforts as an herbalist during the deadly flu epidemic resulting in her being accused of witchcraft. Inspired by 17th century flu remedies, we have combined bourbon, fig preserves, ginger ale, orange peel, and house made saffron nutmeg bitters into a well balanced, refreshing cocktail.
The Spell Jar

The Spell Jar is made with vodka based with notes of spice, rosemary, chamomile, and lemon. For this cocktail, we were inspired by spell jars in which you place ingredients in a jar and seal them with wax while focusing your intentions for the spell and what you hope to be the outcome. The ingredients we chose are specifically influenced by healing and protection spells.

This cocktail uses marshmallow fluff, cold brew coffee, whipped vodka, chocolate syrup, and graham cracker crumbles to create the ultimate smores experience in drinkable form, also available in a mocktail version. The inspiration behind this drink is the Moll Dyer Cabin that was burned to the ground after being falsely accused of causing the flu.
