Pride of Baltimore Visits St. Mary's County

St. Mary’s County welcomes the Pride of Baltimore II, sailing and docking alongside the Maryland Dove from September 26-29, 2024. Visitors can enjoy a variety of events throughout the weekend including free deck tours, a welcome reception, Brew with the Crew, RiverFest, and more.

Deck Tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cross the gangway and come aboard to learn about Baltimore’s tall ship, Pride of Baltimore II. Explore the deck and talk to her captain and crew. Learn about the history of Baltimore Clippers and Pride II; or hear from a crew member what it is like to sail a tall ship today.

Brew with the Crew at Taphouse 1637 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 pm.

Have a drink with the crew of the Pride of Baltimore II and learn more about their mission and what it takes to sail this unique ship. Ten percent of sales from the evening support the Pride II's mission to promote historical maritime education, foster economic development and tourism, and represent the people of Maryland in every port she visits.

Free Deck Tours during RiverFest

RiverFest, a celebration of the St. Mary’s River and its watershed, is free and open to everyone! Discover 101 ways to protect and enjoy our waterways, enjoy live music and tours of Historic St. Mary’s City. Come face‐to‐face with birds of prey, snakes, terrapins, and other seldom‐seen neighbors. In addition, St. Mary's Militia is hosting their annual Militia Muster. RiverFest is hosted by the St. Mary's River Watershed Association.

Sunday, Sept 29

Sail into Maryland’s Future Watch Party and Reception from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be an opportunity to see Pride II and Maryland Dove sailing together along the St. Mary’s River from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a dockside reception from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.! Join us on the bluffs of Historic St. Mary’s City, near the Reconstructed State House to get beautiful views of the ships sailing back to the Docks, and then join us at the reception. The public is welcome! Reserve your free spot here.
