Herring Creek Furniture at Cecil's Old Mill
Cecil's Old Mill was originally built as a cotton/textile factory in the 1800s. Later, it was transformed into a grist mill and sawmill. After restoration, Cecil's Old Mill has become a National Landmark in Historic St. Mary's County and is home to Herring Creek Furniture, offering some of the finest local furniture and art around.
At Herring Creek Furniture, Rob Seltzer combines reclaimed lumber with old tools and locally sourced wood to create heirloom-quality furniture art. Throughout his work, you will find a deep appreciation for the farmers, watermen, and laborers of Southern Maryland. In addition, you'll find carefully curated art from a group of talented artists whose work compliments Seltzer's unique furniture art.
Located directly across the street is Cecil's Country Store, a charming antique and gift shop.
